Benelux scrap continues rise amid export support
Scrap prices in the Benelux continued rising on Monday amid tight supply, increasing prices in export markets, notes Kallanish.
Benelux exporters’ dock prices were pegged mostly at around €290-305/tonne ($311-327.5) delivered, depending on buyers, on Monday, up from €285-290/t a week earlier.
Activity remained weak on Monday as most domestic suppliers preferred waiting. Market participants expect to see livelier activity as of Tuesday, however.
