Benelux scrap prices continue rise, exporters cautious
Scrap prices in the Benelux have increased further following the end of holidays last week.
Although Turkey’s demand was weaker compared to the previous week, Benelux exporters have upped their dock prices after fully returning from holidays, in order to secure material.
With the dollar at 1.1407 per euro, dock prices on Monday were mostly at €360-365/tonne ($410-416) in the Benelux. However, €370/t was also being quoted by a Dutch exporter.
