Benelux scrap activity slows amid holidays
Scrap business in the Benelux slowed last week with the beginning of the Christmas and New Year holiday.
Although no export deals were heard after 24 December, prices continued rising in the first half of this week due to the upward trend in Turkey.
Benelux dock prices, which stood at €310-315/tonne levels only a week ago, appeared at €330-340/t ($404-416) delivered for HMS 80:20 on Monday, though activity is very slow, Kallanish notes.
