Beltrame increases prices, extends Christmas break
Italian longs producer Beltrame has announced a €20/tonne ($21/t) increase on all its products. This is in line with a move upwards in scrap prices in the country and comes as an attempt to stop the continued fall in long products prices.
“This should give the market a future price stability with recovered margins but we need a bigger increase. The distribution [… sector] is suffering,” a source close to the company tells Kallanish.
