Belarus' BMZ sees improved first quarter demand
Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) shipped 350,000 tonnes of steel through its distribution network in the first quarter, up 18% on-year. The lion’s share of 62.3% of sales went to the EU.
The share of the Russian market in overall sales rose to 33.1% in Q1, helped by the launch of rebar sales to this market. The largest sales markets by country for BMZ were Russia, Holland, Germany, Poland and Lithuania.
