Bayi Steel transfers iron capacity to Zhanjiang plant
Baowu Group's Xinjiang subsidiary, Bayi Steel, says on Tuesday that it will transfer iron capacity to Baosteel's Zhanjiang Steel plant.
The 176,000 tonnes/year of iron capacity quota is from Bayi Steel's banked 430 cubic-metre blast furnace, Kallanish notes. The market valuation value of this transaction is CNY 90.11 million ($13.52m), which means the transaction price is CNY 512 per tonne/year of capacity.
