Bayi Steel restarts blast furnace
Baowu Group’s subsidiary in northwest China's Xinjiang province, Bayi Steel, reignited its blast furnace A last week.
The 2,500-cubic-meter blast furnace was overhauled in early July due to sluggish market demand. Following the resumption of production on 18 August, it can produce 22,000 tonnes/day of pig iron, Kallanish notes.
