Bathurst Resources earnings surge on higher coal prices
Australian coal miner Bathurst Resources saw its earnings in the first half ended 31 December, 2022 surge on higher coal prices, Kallanish notes.
The group’s profit after tax soared close to 10 times to NZD 45.8 million ($27.99m) in its financial H1 from NZD 4.6m a year ago.
Its revenue also jumped 69.9% to NZD 211.7m from NZD 124.6m, underpinned by higher coal prices.
