Baowu Wugang constructs oriented silicons steel line
On 6 August, Baowu subsidiary Wuhan Iron & Steel (Wugang) began to construct a high-end grain-oriented silicon steel project, which requires a total investment of nearly CNY 3.3 billion ($461 million).
The project mainly contains one rolling line and 11 other lines, furnaces and auxiliary facilities. After completion, Wugang will add 220,000 tonnes/year of oriented silicon steel capacity and no crude steel capacity, Kallanish notes.
