Baowu reports 130.77mt steel output in 2023
The world’s largest steel manufacturer Baowu Group produced 130.77 million tonnes of crude steel in 2023, down 0.9% on-year, Kallanish learns from the company’s chairman Hu Wangming.
After a suffering first half, Baowu finally reversed the negative situation and improved its performance in the second half of 2023. Hu says that this was done by focusing on high-end steel, intelligent manufacturing, green measures and efficiency.
