Baowu Changjiang Steel operates Danieli EAF
Baowu Group's Changjiang Steel has put a new FastArc ECS Zero-Bucket electric-arc furnace in operation supplied by Danieli.
This is the first EAF at Changjiang Steel. The steelmaker will use it to replace a BoF in order to gain operational flexibility and choose the charge mix between scrap and hot metal following China's adoption of low-carbon emission targets, Kallanish notes.
