Baotou turns a profit after three-year losing streak
Northern China's Baotou Iron & Steel has returned to profit in the first half of 2017 after three years of losses, according to the Inner Mongolia State Assets Administration Committee Capital Administration. In H1 Baotou Group reported CNY 42.39 million ($6.35m) in profits, which it attributes to better management, cost cutting and mislabelled steel capacity clearance, Kallanish notes.
