Baotou to produce more rare earth steel
Baotou Iron & Steel (Baotou Steel) intends to make so-called ‘rare earth’ steel production account for 70% of its total steel production by 2020. The addition of rare earth elements to steel is expected to be replicated to other steel grades, according to a presentation to investors by the steelmaker.
