Baotou Minfeng revives RKEF production
Minfeng Metallurgy Company has restarted production at one 25,000-KVA rotary kiln electric furnace (RKEF) after completing its refurbishment last week, Kallanish notes.
The restart could increase high-carbon ferrochrome output by 42,000 tonnes/year. According to local media, Minfeng Metallurgy Company is facing various penalising measures because of uncontrolled emissions in the second half of 2018.
