Baotou Huashang starts up RKEF
According to market sources, Huashang Rare-earth Ferroalloy Company started to produce ferrochrome on 8 December, Kallanish notes.
The company, located in a special industrial park in Baotou city in Inner Mongolia, revived one 1,2500-kVA rotary kiln electric arc furnace (RKEF) for high-carbon ferrochrome production. The furnace was originally used to produce other rare-earth ferroalloys.
