China's Baotou commissions CRC line
Northern China’s Baotou Iron and Steel hot tested a new 2 million tonnes/year cold rolling plant on 29 September. The mill is part of its new 5m t/y high end flat steelworks project, Kallanish notes.
The line will roll widths up to 2,030mm and focus on the high end white goods and automotive sectors. The steelworks is also able to produce silicon steels.
