Baotai begins construction of cold rolling project
Privately-owned Fujian Baotai Stainless Steel Company has held a ceremony for the start of construction of its cold rolling project in Luoyuan, Fujian Province. It will be built in two phases over the next three years.
The company plans to reach 90,000 tonnes/year of cold-rolled stainless steel coils in Phase I, and 1.01 million t/y in Phase II, Kallanish reports. Products will have a minimum thickness of 0.15mm and maximum width of 1.52 metres.
