Estimates differ for Baosteel Zhanjiang profit in 2017
There appears to be some disparity between how much profit the local Zhanjiang city party thinks Baosteel will earn in 2017 and how much the company itself estimates.
The company's Zhanjiang site could earn almost CNY 2 billion ($299.76) in profit in 2017, according to the city chief party secretary Zheng Renhao. Baosteel's Zhanjiang facility now has around 9 million tonnes/year of steel capacity, Kallanish notes.
