Baosteel to increase supply to Tesla
Baowu Group’s listed company Baosteel has revealed that the company is preparing to supply ultra-high strength steel to Tesla, as well as other new energy vehicle manufacturers. The steelmaker indicated this on its online investor interaction platform. Since its merger with Wuhan Iron and Steel (Wugang), Baowu now has almost 60% market penetration for auto-sheet, according to Baosteel general manager Dai Zhihao.
