Baosteel signs iron ore agreement with Hainan Mining
Baosteel Resources, a subsidiary of China Baowu Group, has signed a 2022 strategic cooperation agreement with Hainan Mining.
Hainan Mining will guarantee to supply 1.2 million tonnes of iron ore to Baosteel Resources in 2022, Kallanish learns. In the context of the Chinese government encouraging an increase in the supply of local iron ore, this cooperation will help Baosteel to reduce the cost of raw materials.
