Baosteel Resources renews nickel ore contract
China’s Baosteel Resources, part of the Baowu Group, has renewed a nickel ore supply contract with Platinum Group Metals, a subsidiary of Philippine miner Global Ferronickel Holdings. The deal will see another 2 million wet metric tons of Philippine nickel ore supplied to Baosteel Resources this year, Kallanish notes.
