Baosteel preps Zhanjiang CRC line
China’s Baosteel has begun preparation for a hot test of the first cold rolling mill at its Zhanjiang steelworks project in southern Guangdong province. The line brings the plant one step closer to being able to sell high end products to Guangdong’s manufacturers, Kallanish notes.
The 1,500mm mill is supplied by China MCC20 Group, part of China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC). It is the first of five CRC mills planned at the site.
