Baosteel orders Danieli bright bar finishing line
China’s Baosteel has ordered a Danieli Centro Maskin PL125 peeling machine to finish its bright bars, the Italian firm says. It has not given a commissioning schedule or a cost for the order however, Kallanish notes.
The line will process bars with diameters of 50-125mm and is designed to be efficient in spite of the small-lot orders common for special steel products. Baosteel also commissioned a 1.2 million tonne/year Danieli slab grinding line in 2016.
