Baosteel orders bar straightener from Fives
China’s Baosteel has ordered a special steel bar straightening line from France’s Fives. The plant is to be produced in the UK and shipped to China by the end of this year, Kallanish notes.
The Bronx two-roll straightener can process bars up to 80mm in diameter and will be installed in Baosteel’s Shaoguan plant in Guangdong province. It can process both hot rolled and cold formed bars.
