Baosteel Meishan to add 400 series stainless capacity
Baowu Iron & Steel Group’s Baosteel Meishan site has announced that it will restructure its current product portfolio, reducing some low value products and adding some high value-added 400 series stainless steel grades. To achieve this, it will expand its Meishan mill, adding one converter and one stainless steel slag processing plant, and upgrading some rolling lines, Kallanish notes.
