Baosteel eyes aluminium autosheet venture
Eastern China’s Baosteel is in talks with national aluminium producer Chinalco to set up a joint venture to jointly supply automotive aluminium sheets. The steelmaker is already the largest supplier of steel autosheet in the country, and could boost its dominance through a restructuring with Wuhan Iron and Steel, Kallanish notes.
