Baosteel Desheng starts blast furnace construction
Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel has started the construction of the 2,500m3 blast furnace of its capacity replacement project, which broke ground in January, Kallanish notes.
Shanghai Baoye Group won the tender for the BF project in October 2019, and the construction period is planned over 497 days. The BF, one of the key projects of Baosteel in 2020, will have the capacity to produce 2.241 million tonnes/year of pig iron after commissioning.
