Baosteel completes delayed HDG hot test
Eastern China’s Baosteel has completed hot testing of its new 2,030mm hot dip galvanizing line in Shanghai. The 380,000 tonnes/year line was originally planned to be fully commissioned in October, Kallanish notes.
The line is expected to produce around 280,000 t/y of zinc-coated and 100,000 t/y of aluminium coated sheet. It replaces a decommissioned 350,000 t/y line, which was the first in China when commissioned in 1988.
