Baosteel begins marketing steel from Zhanjiang
China’s Baosteel has included slabs and HRC from its new Zhanjiang steelworks in southern Guangdong province in its marketing price list for October. The move marks the first marketing for steel from China’s new generation of lower cost integrated coastal steel capacity, although full finished steel products will not be shipped until next year, Kallanish notes.
