Bankrupt Hebei Longhai to resume steel production
The 5 million tonnes/year steelmaker Hebei Iron & Steel Group Longhai has been restructured and changed its name to Hebei Miaoshi Group Depu Iron & Steel. Hebei Miaoshi acquired 100% of Longhai and changed the name. The plant is preparing to resume steel production, although it has not revealed a detailed restructuring and restart schedule, Kallanish notes.
