Bangladesh scrap prices hold firm despite slow demand
Imported scrap demand in Bangladesh remains slow but sellers are still hesitant to reduce their prices.
Brazil and Australia-origin HMS (80:20) scrap is currently offered at approximately $415-416/tonne cfr Chattogram, while recent trades have been concluded at $410-412/t cfr. Shredded scrap is quoted at around $428-430/t and PNS scrap stands at about $440/t cfr, notes Kallanish.
