Baltic deliveries boost Turkish scrap imports in October
Turkish scrap imports recorded another sharp increase in October, by 68.1% on-year to 1.92 million tonnes. They were, however, down from 2.18mt in September, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish.
Almost 95%, or 1.82mt, of the October imports were obsolete scrap. The USA was the main supplier at 339,239t, down -9.2% on-year. The Netherlands followed with almost doubled supply at 213,466t. Russia delivered 201,219t versus 70,…
