Bahrain market awaits imported rebar quotes
The Bahrain rebar market is awaiting imported rebar quotes from Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, Kallanish notes.
This week, a domestic mill was heard concluding a rebar sale for 3,000 tonnes at around BD 258/tonne ($686) delivered, following its purchase of 3,000t of 150mm 3sp billet from Saudi Arabia at around $595/t delivered to Bahrain. In the retail segment, rebar is offered at BD 270-275/t delivered on a credit basis.
