Brazil dominates Bahrain's first-half iron ore imports
Bahrain imported 6.9 million tonnes of iron ore in the first half of 2021, with 88% coming from Brazil, amounting to 5.9mt. Iron ore trade between the countries increased 258% on-year to $893 million, according to Bahrain government data monitored by Kallanish.
Bahrain also sourced iron ore from Canada, Sweden, Norway and India, at 508,000t, 172,000t, 170,862t and 102,000t respectively.
