Metinvest develops PCI transport system to Avostal
Ukranian steelmaker Metinvest has secured a tank car that will transport pulverised coal injection (PCI) produced by Ilyich Iron and Steel Works (MMKI) by rail to Azovstal, Kallanish learns from the company.
The tank car has a capacity of 100 cubic meters which enables the transport of 50 tonnes of pulverised coal. 12 tank cars will be engaged to deliver PCI to Azovstal’s blast furnace no.4.
