Chinas automotive steel demand holds at low level
China’s automotive sales and production figures for June paint another bleak picture for steel demand. Although steel consumption from passenger cars is up year-on-year and the slowdown seems to have stabilised, falling commercial vehicle production means total steel demand is still down from 2014.
