Autlan silicomanganese plant to remain closed "... indefinitely"
Mexican miner and ferroalloy producer Autlan says that the firm will “… extend the closure of the operations at the Gómez Palacio Plant indefinitely,” Kallanish notes.
The activities in the Durango-based operation in central Mexico, were temporarily suspended in July 2015, when the firm announced the launch of a maintenance program aimed at improving the facility’s productivity and safety.
