Authorities ask Langxi Hongtai to delay EAF commissioning
The Economic and Information Technology Department of China's Anhui Province has asked Langxi Hongtai Iron & Steel to delay the start-up of its new 128-tonne electric arc furnace as it exceeds approved capacity.
The EAF was planned to have 980,000 tonnes/year of crude steel capacity. However, the latest assessment reveals the actual capacity slightly higher than this figure, Kallanish learns.
