Austal USA to expand steel shipbuilding capabilities
Austal USA has purchased additional land and docking facilities in Mobile, Alabama, as the company expands its steel shipbuilding capability, Kallanish reports.
According to the company, the acquisition will be a useful expansion to its production capacity in the Mobile area. The recent purchase supports Austal USA’s new construction strategy by securing launch and deep water berthing capability.
