Atlas eyes Scotland-based shipbreaking scrap export operation
North-East England based Atlas Decommissioning will procure from container lines multiple vessels for shipbreaking at the Scotland-based Inchgreen Dry Dock facility, which will become an export hub for recyclable metals.
A waste management licence has been granted by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), says Peel Ports, the owner of the Inchgreen site, which it is leasing out to Atlas Decommissioning.
