Atkore drives up profits with margin tinkering
Diversified construction steel and tubular company Atkore International saw an uptick in its first quarter earnings despite a dip in overall sales due to improved product mix and margin sweetening, Kallanish reports.
Atkore posted net income of $17.4 million on sales of $337.6m in its fiscal Q1 ended 30 December, up 102% and down -5.8%, respectively, from fiscal Q1 2016.
