ATI steels for legal fight over USW lockout
US specialty and stainless steelmaker Allegheny Technologies Inc is settling in for what could be a long and protracted legal battle with the United Steelworkers labour union over its on-going lockout, Kallanish learns.
The USW and the National Labor Relations Board allege the lockout, which began in mid-August after contract negotiations broke down, is illegal, the company says in a statement.
