ATI stainless JV faces tariff exclusion request woes
US specialty metals producer Allegheny Technologies Inc (ATI) is still waiting for word from the US government regarding its Section 232 tariff exclusion requests for its A&T Stainless joint venture, Kallanish understands.
In a conference call with analysts, ATI executives say that the joint venture with Chinese company Tsingshan to roll stainless slabs sourced from Indonesia in western Pennsylvania is still facing headwinds from the Section 232 tariffs.
