Acciai Speciali Terni upgrades slab caster
Italian technology supplier Danieli is upgrading the slab caster 3 at the Acciai Speciali Terni (AST), the stainless and special steels arm of thyssenkrupp in Italy, Kallanish learns from Danieli.
The purpose of the investment is to align Level 1 and Level 2 systems as much as possible to the slab caster 7 automation system, revamped by Danieli some years ago.
