ASEAN, Chinese billet bounce back after touching lows
Billet import prices have lifted in ASEAN on firmer Chinese steel futures markets, Kallanish notes. Prices of ASEAN and Chinese billet had reached recent lows mid-last week.
Offers for open-origin 5sp 150mm billet were prevailing at around $475/tonne cfr Manila last Friday, down $10/t from 26 July. Offers for 5sp 130mm are at around $485/t cfr. Trading has been sparse and no deals are heard to have taken place last week. Kallanish assessed 5sp/ps or Q275 120/125/1…
