ASEAN billet prices head south
The billet import market slipped in Southeast Asia last week, Kallanish notes. Suppliers lowered prices on slow demand and the release of position cargoes.
Offer prices for regional 5sp 130mm blast furnace billet for December shipments are heard at $535-545/tonne cfr Manila. These are mostly for Indonesian billet as well as for 120/130mm billet from two Malaysian mills.
