Ascoval restarts production, three bids rumoured
Ascoval, the French steelmaking plant based in Saint-Saulve, has restarted production while it awaits more clarity over its future next week, Kallanish learns from sources.
Production restarted last week for a two-week period, to deliver the material previously ordered by clients. The plant has been producing intermittently since Asco Industries, 60%-owner of the mill, filed for bankruptcy at the end of 2017. The balance is owned by Vallourec.
