Arrium looks to begin processing iron ore waste
Australia’s Arrium could produce a new 60% Fe iron ore product, Kallanish notes. This is possible once the company installs two new iron ore waste processing lines to generate value out of 17 million tonnes of low grade fines stockpiled in waste dumps. Equipment will be supplied by CDE Mining and will process waste accumulated over 117 years of mining.
