Argentina's Acindar reduces shifts at Villa Constitución mill
Argentina-based long product steelmaker Acindar says that it will begin reducing work shifts at its Villa Constitución plant as from mid-October in a note monitored by Kallanish. This measure follows the deceleration of local steel production and demand. Shift cuts were also confirmed by the local steel association Cámara Argentina de Acero (CAA). Acindar is part of ArcelorMittal, and one of the largest steelmakers in Argentina.
