Argentina crude steel output falls 14.6% in January
Argentinian crude steel production in January fell by -14.6% year-on-year to 329,500 tonnes, and by -11.3% compared to December when the output was 371,600t, Kallanish learns from the country’s steel association, Acero Argentino.
Hot rolled products output reached 337,900t in January, or -9.3% less month-on-month and -9.1% less compared to the same month in 2015. Meanwhile, cold rolled production grew by 37.8% y-o-y to 122,100 in January.
